Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16-Mar-2026

This policy explains how we collect and use your information when you use ClojureStream. We collect your email, profile information, and usage data. We use cookies for site functionality and work with Stripe for payments. When you apply to jobs, your profile is shared with employers. You have rights to access, update, or delete your information.

This privacy policy ("Policy") describes how ClojureStream ("we", "us" or "our") collects, protects and uses the personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") you ("User", "you" or "your") may provide through the ClojureStream website (clojure.stream) or in the course of using any ClojureStream services (collectively, "Website"). This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.

Collection of personal information

We collect your email, profile information, and data you provide when posting jobs or applying to positions.

We receive and store information you provide to us when you create an account, update your profile, post a job, or apply to a position. This includes:

  • Account information: your email address (required for login)
  • Profile information: full name, headline, bio, location, country, timezone, website URL, social links, and avatar image
  • Job posting information: job titles, descriptions, salary ranges, application questions, and company details (for employers)
  • Application information: your responses to application questions and a snapshot of your profile at the time you apply
  • Organization information: company name, logo, description, website, location, timezone, and social links (for employers)
  • Payment information: processed by Stripe — we do not store your credit card details

You choose what profile information to provide. The more you add, the stronger your job applications will be.

Profile snapshots and data sharing between users

When you apply to a job, a snapshot of your profile is shared with the hiring team.

When you apply to a job, a copy of your profile is captured and stored as a "profile snapshot." This snapshot is visible to the hiring team (organization members) for that job.

What employers see: your name, email, headline, bio, location, timezone, website, social links, and your responses to application questions.

This snapshot reflects your profile at the time of application, even if you later update your profile. If you withdraw your application, it is removed and the hiring team can no longer see it. Employers may use this information only for evaluating your application.

Organization accounts and employer data

Employers create organization profiles to post jobs and manage applicants.

Employers create organization profiles to post jobs. Organization members (owners and team members) can view applications and applicant profile snapshots for their jobs, add internal notes and meeting links to applications, and move applicants through hiring pipeline stages.

Internal notes are visible only to organization members. Notes on stage transitions are visible to applicants.

Collection of non-personal information

We automatically collect standard browser and usage information to improve our service.

When you visit the Website our servers automatically record information that your browser sends. This data may include your device's IP address, browser type and version, operating system, language preferences, pages visited, time spent on those pages, access times and dates, and other usage statistics.

Email tracking

We track email opens and clicks to improve our communications.

We track whether emails we send are opened and which links are clicked. This helps us understand what content is useful and improve our communications. We use a small tracking image and redirect links to measure this. You can prevent open tracking by disabling images in your email client.

Purchases

Stripe processes all payments and has its own privacy policy.

All purchases are processed by Stripe (stripe.com). This includes course subscriptions, one-time product purchases, and job posting payments. Stripe may ask you for personal information such as your name, address, email, or credit card information. Stripe has its own privacy policy. We do not control Stripe or its collection of information.

Managing personal information

You can update your information in account settings and deactivate your account at any time.

You can update your personal information in your account settings:

  • Email: change your login email in account settings
  • Profile: update your name, headline, bio, location, timezone, website, and social links in profile settings
  • Notifications: manage your email preferences (newsletter, job notifications) in notification settings
  • Applications: withdraw pending applications from your applications page

You can deactivate your account directly from your account settings. This will remove your profile and account data, but note that profile snapshots for active (non-withdrawn) applications are retained as part of the employer's hiring records, we retain minimal records for 24 months to comply with legal obligations, and deactivation prevents access to any purchased courses or products.
